Bio

IMG_2351Peter Singer has been making beautiful music since he was a young boy. It began at the age of 3-4 when pots and pans were the instrument of choice. At the age of 5 he received his first drum set and from that point forward continued to build his repertoire adding violin and piano to the list. It was as a freshman in high school when he wrote his first song. He participated in many high school arts and entertainment projects such as theater. He continued after high school to graduate Berklee College of Music with a degree in audio engineering and production. He was also a member of a Beatles cover band called Beatlejuice where he played Paul, John and George. In the summer of 2011, Peter signed a recording contract with Tate Music Corporation where he began the recording process of his own material.

The culmination of his hard work came to fruition with the release of “Don’t Look Now” (July 2012 release). One particular single “Are You in It for Love” is one song that captures the essence of the writing and arrangement style of Peter Singer. This song is from personal experience where relationships, whether good or bad have their own issues to be dealt with such as trust, feelings and love, after all. This song takes you through the emotional thought process on how one deals with due to a loss of a significant other. This song has melodic piano runs that seem to put you in a trance. The vocal harmonies are incredible and the catchy chorus lines are all extremely memorable. It was a process of his inner soul at work as he sat at the piano allowing his fingers to transpose his inner thoughts to a composition of beauty. It is a pop tune as are all of his songs, written for audience pleasure and also serves as a therapeutic outlet for the artist.

Prior to this latest release, there was a release of a CD with the band Frontier Pilots in the 90’s.

Peter Singer opened for the Turtles in a Cambridge, Ma. Club (Jack’s) in the early 1990’s. He is currently performing shows in the Boston area with the band Cherry Orchard with some of his original works from his latest CD as part of the set.
